27th International Scientific Symposium on Biometrics

Varaždin, Croatia, 11 - 14 June 2025

 

Researchers and practitioners in the field of biometrics – development and application of statistical and mathematical methods for data analysis in life sciences – are encouraged to take part in this symposium organised by the Croatian Biometric Society - Croatian Region of the International Biometric Society.

​

BIOSTAT 2025 will be organized back-to-back with the 10th Symbolic Data Analysis Workshop, scheduled for June 9-11, 2025. Symbolic Data Analysis was the theme of the 13th School of Biometrics led by Prof. Lynne Billard in Cavtat, Croatia, in 2008. After 17 years, it will once again be the subject of the 25th School of Biometrics. ​

VENUE

The Symposium takes place in Varaždin, the cultural and economic capital of northwestern Croatia. It is most famous for its baroque architecture, especially the old fortress Stari grad (Old town) and many palaces, churches and museums. The city's vibrant cultural scene is home to many artistic festivals and events, which earned it the title of UNESCO cultural city, the first of its kind in Croatia. Nature enthusiasts can also enjoy the scenery of Drava River and nearby castles and hills.
